Fujinon Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Fujinon is a brand of optical lenses made by Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd, now known as Fujifilm. Fujifilm's Fujinon lenses have been used by professional photographers and broadcast stations as well as cinematography.

E. L. Daguerre mentioned, "FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/1.4 R Lens is a disaster. Not because of image quality, which is great. The lens is very sharp and the bokeh is excellent. The size and weight are perfect. The focus ring is nice and grippy. However, it has two major problems. First, it is noisy in two ways. The aperture blades chatter when you have depress the shutter (they chatter more when it's sunny). And the autofocus motor is just plain loud. So there are two sources of regular, annoying noise. This makes it very unappealing for use around people in a quiet room. Noisy lenses were common when autofocus first became popular some 30 years ago. But it is frankly surprising to have a lens of recent design be this noisy, especially in this price range. Canon and Nikon make ultra-quiet standard lenses in this price range. There is no excuse for Fuji not to do the same. Yes, I am using the latest camera firmware (for the X-T1) and the latest lens firmware. Second, there is no place to really grip the lens when removing it from the camera body. The non-moving part of the lens between the aperture ring and the focusing ring has a wiggle to it. So when gripped firmly to remove the lens, it feels like it's going to break or come loose. That doesn't seem very durable. And a minor problem is that it's too easy for the aperture ring to slip from A (Automatic) mode to f/16. That can easily ruin a photo. There should be a lock at the A setting, or at least a more friction to get past the A. This is the standard lens for the X system and should be of flagship quality. It is almost a must-have and should be a joy to use. But its problems make it a big disappointment. I would give it 5 stars for image quality, but the rest really brings it down."

Clerical Assistant (Former Employee) says

"This place sucks. Cons: Everything"

Employee (Former Employee) says

"For a corporate site, its lackluster and most unimpressive. The turn around on employees is something almost compared to musical chairs. Lacks an employee lounge and the cafeteria they have there is way overpriced. No really onsite amenities to really speak off. The work mood is doldrum like and lacks energy or excitement. Also management will work you to the bone and jump on top of you if there's and emergency which they pretty much caused due to their poor planning. Cons: Everything"

Manager Noth (Former Employee) says

"Hr is a joke. They wont help you if you have an issue. You will have a issue, so good luck. Very clicky. Very poor pay , health care sucks . Management is very very poor . No advancement at all. They don't promote within constantly hiring externally, no competitive pay at all . Trust me , do not work here. Look elsewhere. Like Intel or someone else who deals with chemicals. It is dangerous work and they wont pay you for it or treat you right . TRUST ME Cons: Everything"

"This Place is not and great place to work and the management sucks and I would not advise no to work for this company the pay sucks and you don't get good breaks Cons: no good hours nor breaks"

Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Former Employee) says

"Awful place to work! Awful management no help what so ever so much micromanagement with very little to almost zero help. I can not stress it enough awful management and supervisors. The most stressful place I have ever worked, and for low pay not worth it. I do not recommend this job at all !!!! I worked in Edison for 3 months worst 3 months of my life !!!! I left because I could not take the stress having so much put on one person aka me, and the rudeness of the management and employees. Cons: Short breaks, micromanagement, rude employees, too much tasks per position, awful supervision"

Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"struggling to make ends meet in a dying market. The technicians traveling approximately 1000 miles/week. Too much wheel time to get much else accomplished. Cons: not enough technicians"

Seasonal Production (Former Employee) says

"Worked here during semester off from school. Where do I begin. I thought I was hired by Fuji only to find out that I was hired by an agency. The managers were remarkabley incompetent and treat their employees like animals. Because of the Christmas rush and the inefficient setup of the production floor they are constantly behind schedule and as a result blame workers for not being productive enough. I can't stress enough what a toxic environment this place was. But the incompetence of the managers is what really makes this place miserable, they will literally walk around station to station and watch workers but can't provide any assistance when an issue arises because they literally don't know what they are doing. Don't bother with this joke of a business. Cons: Everything: see review"

Assembly Worker (Former Employee) says

"Fuji film was a poorly run business. their machines were out dated and their workloads were too heavy. This company closed down years ago because film developing has become obsolete. Cons: short breaks. mean staff"

Operator CRM Executive (Former Employee) says

"Ok company to work. 9 hrs shift and two days week off. Very late salary appraisal. Staff is not good. the manager always discusses about past negative mistakes which is very demotivating."

Assembly Worker/Machine Operator (Former Employee) says

"Worst place to work at if you are looking for a good, stable job. The only thing that kept me at Fuji was the pay. The work day drags on forever even if you are good at your position. You do not learn anything truly useful. The management (for the most part) is rude and degrading. The co-workers are blissfully ignorant. Cons: Hostile environment and uneducated superiors"

"I liked meeting and interacting with the Japanese Chemist Cons: unreasonable at times"

Machine Operator (Former Employee) says

"Its a temporary job with ok pay. The hours are 8 hour shift with a lunch break. Job was good but seasonal. I would work here again."

Opératrice hautement qualifiée (Former Employee) says

"Mon travail était très agréable et passionnant. Cons: Manque de respé venant des responsables de productions."

Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"I got very sick working there. I was diagnosed with Chron's disease due to the level of stress. Cons: Not enough pay to deal with the stress"

QA Analyst (Former Employee) says

"you are better off working at mcdonalds at least there you can eat for free. There is no management really. Incompetent people are working there as supervisors and that will be the final downfall of this company hopefully soon. Cons: everything"

Temp (Former Employee) says

"I was employed with Fuji Film through a staffing company and we were not always guaranteed a spot or either got laid-off."
